ABOUT

As a dancer/performer, Xinyi has performed at various venues and locations in her four years of experience as an amateur performer. She has performed at the University of California, Davis. She is currently in her final year as a student at the University of California, Davis.

Xinyi has performed numerous roles, such as an actress in the play Refuge, as an actress and collaborator on the project Diversity Statement: Hear Us and as a dancer at Outside the Line. She has learned a great deal from Vita Tzykun, Margaret Laurena Kemp, and Edward Talton-Jackson.

Xinyi’s dance experience includes dance styles like popping, which she started learning at age 14; K-pop dance at age 13; ballet, modern dance, contact improvisation, and Choreography for three years in college; and Chinese traditional dance since age 5.

Xinyi is currently a student studying statistics, theater & dance at the University of California, Davis. She is looking forward to a professional career after her graduation this spring.
